Once you’ve prepared your test script you will need to submit it to EFTPOS New Zealand POS Accreditation team. Below is an overview of our Accreditation process.
Develop your POS to be accreditation-ready using the EFTPOS New Zealand POSLink or PC EFTPOS Software Development Kit. You can request a test terminal online here. Please allow 10 working days for the test terminal to be established within our system, sent and delivered within NZ. Overseas requests may take longer
POS Accreditations need to be booked ahead of time and take up to three business days to complete. You will need to complete the Accreditation Request Form 2 weeks prior to your requested accreditation window in order to secure a place in our accreditation queue. You can book your POS accreditation online here.
EFTPOS New Zealand tests your solution to ensure it meets the specifications. Depending on the hardware and software you are utilising, you will need to supply:
- A copy of the POS software to EFTPOS New Zealand for loading (Windows based POS software).
- A POS unit supplied to EFTPOS New Zealand for testing (Non-Windows based POS)
- Details of any POS configuration or instructions
If testing is successful EFTPOS New Zealand issues an ‘Accreditation Approval' and you are free to proceed with trialling your solution with a customer of your choice. If your customer has multiple sites we recommend an initial trial at one site before deployment across multiple sites.
