EFTPOS NZ supported the Pink Ribbon Street Appeal with mobile terminals
The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable trust committed to preventing New Zealanders developing and dying from breast cancer. October is International Breast Cancer Awareness Month where New Zealanders contribute to fundraising for the NZBCF by holding bake sales, buying pink ribbon products, or by donating in the annual Pink Ribbon Street Appeal.

EFTPOS New Zealand were proud to support the 2013 NZBCF Pink Ribbon Street Appeal by supplying VeriFone VX 680 Mobile terminals for volunteers to collect donations with. These wireless terminals are the latest in eftpos terminal technology and the best choice for the street appeal. They’re fully portable, extremely fast, designed to be easy to hold and use with large colour touch screens, and come fully equipped with the latest tap and go technology.
EFTPOS New Zealand aimed to take the pressure off hardworking volunteers by creating a seamless eftpos payments process for the appeal. No longer were busy commuters digging around in their bags for loose change or taking the time to get cash from an ATM, donators simply used their cards to make a contribution. What’s more, Tap and Go payments removed the need to swipe the donators card or ask for a PIN.

Funds raised during the 2013 appeal went towards life-saving awareness and education programmes, research into new targeted treatments, support for women going through breast cancer, and the 0800 BCNurse helpline. EFTPOS New Zealand were excited to contribute our expertise and industry-leading technology to the appeal.
