Paul Galant CEO of VeriFone Visits Wellington Office
Wellington, New Zealand – 13 February 2014, Paul Galant Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of VeriFone Systems, Inc. visited the EFTPOS New Zealand offices in Wellington New Zealand today as part of his tour of the ASPAC region.

Galant, who joined VeriFone as CEO in October 2013, was accompanied by Global CFO of VeriFone Marc Rothman, CFO of VeriFone ASPAC Curtis Barclay, and President of VeriFone ASPAC Sunil Kappagoda. Their tour of the Asia Pacific region has taken them to Sydney and Brisbane already, with stops in Melbourne, Delhi and Mumbai, Beijing and Shanghai planned for the coming days.
VeriFone Systems Inc. acquired EFTPOS New Zealand Ltd in June 2013, recognising the New Zealand company’s operations as a reflection of VeriFone’s global vision for a service-based alternative payments infrastructure. Client satisfaction driven business processes were prominently discussed in the ‘Town Hall’ style meeting attended by all staff at the EFTPOS New Zealand offices in Wellington.

The future of VeriFone as a unified global business with streamlined processes and product offerings was also touched upon as Mr. Galant described his vision for a world class VeriFone, “we are on a journey to build the company we want to be.”
