Key Product
On-device apps
It's fundamentally changed the way that we receive payment and offers our customers a significantly better experience. We get fewer errors because the driver is not having to manually enter the fee into the terminal, and that results in less work for our back-office staff as well in terms of reconciliations.

Corporate Cabs, known for providing professional luxury taxi services for 30 years in New Zealand, sought to enhance their customer experience. The primary challenge was to streamline the payment process to compete with the experience offered by ride-share apps. The goal was to streamline transactions, reduce manual entry, and offer an improved experience for both drivers and passengers.
The Solution
Corporate Cabs partnered with EFTPOS New Zealand to develop an innovative in-car payment system using advanced Android terminals. The solution integrated Corporate Cabs' custom-built app with EFTPOS NZ’s technology, eliminating the need for manual fare entry. Drivers simply swipe the screen to select job details, and the fare is automatically displayed on the terminal. Robin Barrett, a long-time Corporate Cabs driver, praised the solution, saying, “It's very
fast and it's seamless between the taxi unit and the terminal.”
The Results
The new in-car payment system has been a resounding success, with strong uptake among drivers, including those less inclined to adopt new technology. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting improved speed, ease of use, and a bright, user-friendly display. The terminal’s battery life lasts 2-3 days, ensuring consistent reliability. Cameron Alison, CEO of Corporate Cabs, noted, “It offers our customers a significantly better experience.”
Overall, the upgraded payment system has streamlined transactions, reduced admin work, and greatly enhanced the experience for both customers and drivers, helping Corporate Cabs stay competitive in a rapidly changing market.
