Can I add a surcharge to card payments?
Yes. Surcharging lets you automatically add a fee to eligible card transactions, recovering the cost of accepting those payment types without increasing your standard prices. You set the surcharge amount, and it's disclosed to customers before the transaction completes.
Can multiple businesses share one terminal?
Yes, through Multi Merchant. Up to 8 merchants can share a single terminal, with payments, refunds, and reporting kept separate for each. Useful for markets, shared office spaces, or businesses operating from the same counter.
What happens if my terminal loses its internet connection?
Offline Mode provides temporary cover when your terminal can't reach the payment network. Transactions are stored securely and processed automatically once connectivity is restored. Some limits apply to what can be processed in offline mode.
Where can I see my transaction history?
Verifone Central is our free online reporting platform. It gives you a single view of your payment activity across in-store EFTPOS and online channels. You can also view transaction summaries directly on your terminal.
What digital wallets can I accept?
All Eftpos NZ Android terminals accept contactless payments. Additional digital wallets are available through our integration partners.
What does Terminal Plus cover?
Terminal Plus limits what you'll pay if your terminal is damaged or needs replacing. Repair costs are capped at $300 + GST per terminal regardless of the cause of damage. It's available as an optional add-on to your subscription.
Can I take payments online as well as in-store?
Yes. Verifone Checkout, Virtual Terminal, and Pay By Link are all available for online and card-not-present payments.
