What is a MOTO transaction?
MOTO stands for Mail Order or Telephone Order. It allows you to accept payments when the customer isn’t present.
Are MOTO transactions secure?
Yes. MOTO transactions are processed through your EFTPOS NZ terminal with encryption. Card details do not fully display on-screen, and additional protections (like passcode-protected access) are available.
Will I be charged additional fees for MOTO transactions?
EFTPOS NZ doesn’t charge extra to enable MOTO. Your merchant service provider may apply fees for processing card-not-present payments.
