Virtual Terminal is a payment solution that allows you to initiate card-not-present transactions, over the telephone or via mail order. The Virtual Terminal is great for merchants in card-not-present environments and as a backup payment method for business continuity.
Your customer provides you with their card details via telephone or mail order. You will need to input a few details including an optional reference and the transaction amount.
Once these details have been added you will be redirected to a payment form where you can enter the customer’s card details and process the transaction.
Your transactions processed via Virtual Terminal will be listed in your Transactions dashboard on the Merchant Portal. You can search and filter your transactions to build custom downloadable transaction lists.
If a transaction fails, an error message will be displayed and you will need to create a new transaction.
You can refund Virtual Terminal transactions from your transactions dashboard on the Merchant Portal.
