Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I start?
Check out EFTPOS 101, our guide to getting set up — whether you're opening your first business or switching providers.
What costs can I expect?
You’ll pay a monthly fee to lease your terminal. The amount depends on your device and contract. There’s also a $17 + GST monthly fee to connect to the Verifone Network. Some banks may charge a one-off setup fee for your merchant facility. Credit card processing fees may also apply.
Where can I see transactions made by my customers?
You can view summaries on your terminal. For more detailed reporting, log in to Verifone Central, our free online reporting platform.
Can I take payments away from the counter?
Yes. V660p is fully portable and supports mobile use throughout your venue or store.
What payment methods can I accept?
By default, your terminal accepts New Zealand issued EFTPOS and debit cards.
To accept credit and contactless cards including Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, your bank can set up a credit merchant facility.
Additional payment types may be available through third-party providers.
How long does it take to get set up?
Most businesses are up and running within a few weeks. Our team will guide you through every step.
