Suited to cafes, bars, retail, and high-use environments
Limit your exposure
Drops, spills, and daily wear can damage EFTPOS terminals and repairs or replacements can be costly. Terminal Plus limits how much you’ll pay if a covered terminal needs repair or replacement.
Perfect for bars, cafes, auto-shops and more
Some retailing environments present a higher risk for damaged terminals. Terminal Plus ensures you're covered when accidents happen, so you can stay focused on serving your customers.
A practical alternative to insurance excess
Business insurance may cover damaged terminals, but excesses are often higher than the device itself. Terminal Plus provides a simple, fixed-cost option that’s easier to budget for.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Terminal Plus?
Terminal Plus helps cover the cost of repairing or replacing damaged EFTPOS terminals due to common accidental damage and wear from normal use.
How much will I pay if my terminal needs repair or replacement?
Your maximum out-of-pocket cost is NZ$300 + GST per terminal, in addition to your monthly subscription fees.
Do I need to cover all my terminals?
Yes. If you have multiple terminals of the same model at a location, all must be covered to be eligible.
How do I request a repair or replacement?
Contact the Eftpos NZ support team. The terminal will be assessed and a repair or replacement arranged where applicable.
Will I receive a temporary terminal?
A temporary device may be provided if available, to help reduce downtime. Availability is not guaranteed.
Can I use business insurance instead?
You can, but insurance excesses are often higher than the cost of replacing a terminal. Terminal Plus offers a lower, predictable alternative.
