Verifone Payment Gateway FAQs

Do I need a web developer to setup the Verifone OpenCart Plugin?

Essentially, no. If you’re comfortable with website management, it will be a breeze to follow the setup instructions. We can also provide a video call to help you get setup.

Are there any setup fees?

We don’t charge a setup fee.

Do you accept alternative payments?

We don’t currently offer alternative payments other than card payments but Verifone being a globel payment solutions provider, are working on bringing methods such as Vipps, Klarna, MobilePay, Swish, Google Pay, Apple Pay to New Zealand as soon as possible.

What are the benefits of using Verifone Online Payments for my website/ online shop?

We provide local knowledge and expertise powered by Verifone’s Global eCommerce solutions giving you a product that is customised for the New Zealand market along with features like:

  • Verifone Central access allows merchants to reconcile both in-store payments and online payments meaning less admin.

Is anything else required to get setup?

We do require a Merchant ID which we will help with by referring to your acquiring bank on your behalf.

Is it available in my country?

Verifone Online Payments by Eftpos NZ is only available in New Zealand but Verifone offer solutions outside of New Zealand which can be found here.

What are the next steps?

Once you’ve submitted the form, we will contact you to see if our Online Payment solutions will suit your website/ online shop. We will then help you set up merchant services with your bank and onboard you to Verifone Central. You an then configure your plugin to start accepting payments online.
